In terms of pure service, Xfinity internet is the best in Tucson. Connection speeds can reach up to 1000 Mbps, and even basic plans will get you between 100-300 Mbps, which is more than enough for the average person.

Xfinity is also a great option because you can combine your internet plan with a cable TV or home phone subscription and save on all three.

However, as of writing, Xfinity is only available in about 60 percent of the region. But if you can access it, then it should be your top choice.

#2 COX

Another option that although superior in terms of the product being sold still isn’t available throughout the city. Currently, COX only reaches about 40 percent of Tucson.

However, for those who do fall within the service area, it’s an option worth considering. Top plans deliver around 300 Mbps connections, and there are several bundles that allow you to get a 100 Mbps connection and add on cable TV for little additional cost.

#3 CenturyLink

CenturyLink is the only internet provider on this list that services the whole city, but its DSL internet is considerably slower than the competition; average speeds are just 50 Mbps.

However, this is enough for most people, especially if all you’re using the internet for is surfing the web, checking email and social media, and streaming Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc.

CenturyLink is beginning to offer high-speed fiber-optic service that delivers 1000 Mbps, but at the moment, this is only available to about 10 percent of the Tucson region. As that number grows, so will CenturyLink’s place on this list.
